Amy is a career and college counselor based in Charleston, South Carolina. She has built a successful educational consulting business, guiding students in navigating the college admissions process and adults seeking new employment opportunities.

Amy graduated cum laude from the College of Charleston and magna cum laude from The Citadel with a Masters in Community Counseling. She completed thirty additional hours after reaching the requirements for a Master’s degree in Elementary School Counseling and Secondary School Counseling. She holds a South Carolina certification in both areas. 

In 1999, Amy was chosen as one of four counselors in the country to be awarded Counselor of the Year by the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC). After being flown to the NACAC National Convention in Florida, she was featured in the Post and Courier and on News Two, Positively Carolina.   

 In 2005, Amy joined College Edge as Managing Director, overseeing exclusive SAT and ACT training courses at various local high schools. Under Amy’s direction, this program has significantly improved SAT and ACT scores among hundreds of students. In 2020, Amy left College Edge to devote full time to her growing college and career consulting business.

Additionally, Amy worked extensively with The Citadel as an Assistant Director of Project Challenge. This program facilitated over a million dollars in scholarship monies awarded to Burke High School participants in her last year. She was also named to Beta Gamma Sigma, the Honor Society for Collegiate Schools of Business.
